Dave Wilton has a PhD in medieval English literature from the University of Toronto and has taught writing at Texas A&M University and the University of Toronto. Dave also has an M.A. from George Washington University in National Security Policy Studies and a B.A. from Lafayette College in Government and Law.
In past lives, Dave has worked as a marketing writer/editor and as a product manager for 3D graphics and digital television technologies at NVIDIA and OpenTV, for Science Applications International Corporation as a manager of programs that dismantled the nuclear stockpiles of the former Soviet Union, and as an arms control negotiator for the Pentagon.
These two brothers are responsible for bird watching, sitting on important papers, and keeping keyboards warm while they are in use.
Lily is employed to chase down balls and conduct daily perambulations. She sometimes works out of the Wordorigins office in Princeton, and sometimes she works remotely from an office in New York City.
Stella is our office intern, very young but eager to learn. Currently, she is learning how to ask Erik and Charles questions without getting slapped. She is also in charge of masticating objects.
We lost Lila, our senior staff assistant, in October 2022. While, Lily has stepped up to take on her duties, Lila can never be replaced in our hearts.
Sadly, we lost our beloved (and feared) office manager in December 2020. Now, we have no one to rule the staff with an iron paw or send the editor to the emergency room. He is missed.
