I’ve broken out the telescope for the first time in a long while. My new place in Princeton is as dark as it gets anywhere within driving distance, so it’s easy to just haul the scope out of the garage and into the driveway. So there should be more in coming days.
I have a new camera too, designed for astrophotography, which is an improvement over using an SLR camera. But it means a bit of a learning curve.
Two new images. One of the moon, taken because it’s easy and a great target for just making sure everything is working. It turned out great.
The other is a deep-sky image of the Pinwheel Galaxy. This isn’t a great shot, but not bad considering I’m (re-)learning.
